CONNTESOL 2008 PROPOSAL FORM
The deadline for proposals has been extended until June 30, 2008.
Having trouble thinking of a topic to present? Here are a few ideas that have already been suggested:
- Difference or disability--how to tell if an ELL has special needs
- How to plan collaboratively with mainstream teachers using the CT ELL standards
- How to teach reading to ELLs...writing...problem solving in math
- Online/distance learning
- Which service delivery model is most effective for ELLs--"push-in" or pull-out"?
- Teaching on the go--how does an itinerant teacher manage more than one assigned school?
- How to overcome scheduling issues
- Using new communication technology (blogs, podcasts, text messaging, etc.) in the classroom
- What modifications to the Reader's Workshop model best serve the needs of ELLs
- Developing critical thinking skills and independent learning techniques for academic success
