ConnTESOL Elections

The Board of ConnTESOL will soon be holding elections for the following positions:

• President (Duties: preside at all business and board meetings; be an ex-officio member of all committees; act as the liaison between ConnTESOL and other organizations (TESOL, etc.)
• First Vice President (Duties: assume all duties and responsibilities of the President in his/her absence; act as Co-Chair of the Conference Committee)
• Recording Secretary (Duties: assist the president and First Vice President in their duties; act as Co-Chair of the Conference Committee)
• Treasurer (Duties: collect all monies due ConnTESOL; keep them in accounts organized by the Board and co-held with the Membership Secretary; pay all debts upon approval of the President; provide a financial statement at the beginning of each Board meeting; prepare a budget of expenditures for each year for approval or modification of the Board and make available at the Annual Business Meeting; have the financial books audited annually by a licensed accountant who is NOT on the Board, nor a relation of anyone thereof; provide the results of the audit at the annual business meeting)

2008 CONNTESOL CONFERENCE

Our 2008 Conference is scheduled for November 15, 2008 at Central Connecticut State University. Please consider presenting a workshop at our next conference. See the "Conferences" link for a list of areas of interest, or bring your own ideas!
